Notes from Liguria

Nestled along the Italian Riviera, Liguria is home to colorful seaside villages, hidden coves, winding coastal roads, and some of the clearest water I've ever seen. We spent a week in Camogli, a small fishing town overlooking the Mediterranean. Days moved at an unhurried pace, shaped by morning espressos, ocean swims, long walks through narrow streets, fresh focaccia, tiny produce markets, and evenings spent lingering over aperitivos by the sea.

From Camogli, I took day trips to San Fruttuoso and Portofino, each offering its own version of coastal life. Though different in character, they shared a common thread—a deep connection to the sea and an appreciation for the simple pleasures of daily living.

What stayed with me most were the colors. The water shifted constantly between deep blue, turquoise, and soft green. Weathered boats rested against stone harbors, laundry fluttered from shuttered windows, and sea-worn textures appeared everywhere I looked.

Below is a collection of film photographs from my time along the Ligurian coast—small moments and details that continue to stay with me long after returning home.
